Essential Assembly Data Packages

Before launching into assembly operations, aligning communication and providing exact documentation is paramount. There are two non-negotiable datasets required to ensure high-fidelity assembly:

  • Comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM)This exhaustive catalog drives the entire procurement and mounting phase. It must include precise Component Descriptions, Manufacturer Part Numbers (MPN), Supplier Part Numbers (SPN), and strictly corresponding Reference Designators (e.g., R1, IC3) for every active and passive component.
  • Component Placement List (CPL)Often referred to as the Pick & Place or XY coordinate file. This critical dataset instructs the robotics on exact spatial locations, orientation rotation angles, designated mounting sides (Top/Bottom), and the specific reference designator destination.
